Happy Valentine's Day! We've shot the first image, and I'm working on the final touches before putting it up here. Meantime I have all my fingers and toes crossed for the launch of the dedicated website lovestories.org very soon. Watch this space!

'Love Stories' is a project I've just begun working on, and I need your help. If you are in a long-standing relationship, I would be really excited if you would be involved.
It will take about five minutes of you and your partner's time, and only requires that you each send me an email, describing your memory of the first time that you met. It doesn't matter if you don't think your story is particularly unusual, it's your recollections of it that I'd like to hear. Also, it's important that you don't confer :-) as I need your individual perspectives on the moment/event.
Similarly to my 'Memories and Nightmares' project from 2008 - 2010 (see to your left, under 'Art'), the images are to be based on real stories, and currently I'm in the 'collecting' stage. The aim of the project is to create a series of large-format images, along with a small book containing images and narratives, and exhibit both in 2013. It's early days yet, but I will keep in touch with developments as they progress.

Also, please do pass a link on to any couples you know who might be keen to be involved; the success of the project depends entirely on the contributions I receive.

g) In your own words, please describe the moment you first met your partner. A simple factual description will do perfectly, but if you're feeling literary feel free to expand; as you prefer. Be as long or short as you like, the only thing I ask is that you don't talk it through with your partner before sending the story to me.
some small print: by sending me your story, I'm assuming that you agree to me using it as inspiration for a photographic art work, and that you will allow me to publish your story as part of that work and/or in a collection of stories. If you're not ok with that, please let me know.
