Asylum Seekers

"Refugee: A person owing to well founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside their home country and is unable, or owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it."    UN Convention on Refugees, 1951

During 2005 and 2006, I have interviewed and photographed asylum seekers and refugees living the UK, with the help of the Refugee Council. Each person has their own story. To find out more about the issues facing asylum seekers and refugees in Britain, please go to:
